The Wurden Team Joins Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty Global Network; Expands Service Area in Kitsap County

Sunday, February 17th, 2013

Kitsap County (PRWEB) February 13, 2013

Executives at Seattle – based Realogics Sothebys International Realty announced today that Irene Wurden, a leading Real Estate Broker in Kitsap County and a Certified International Property Specialist, has joined the Bainbridge Island branch of the global real estate network. Associate Brokers Meg Burkett and Chris Wurden were also confirmed as new team members in response to increasing sales volumes anticipated throughout Kitsap County and beyond.

We are thrilled that Irene Wurden and her team of brokers accepted our invitation to expand our Brand, said Dean Jones, Owner of Realogics Sothebys International Realty. The tides are definitely rising across Puget Sound and we believe a robust housing recovery will reach all of Kitsap County in 2013. The Wurden Team is well positioned to draw resources from both our Seattle and Bainbridge Island branch offices, which includes access to exclusive marketing platforms and a world-wide referral network.

According to research published by Realogics Sothebys International Realty median home prices and sales volumes in 2012 increased by 8 and 15 percent, respectively across the Seattle metro area. Likewise, Bainbridge Island witnessed median home price increases (excluding condominiums) of 6 percent last year with total transactions rising 50 percent above 2011 sales volumes. By contrast median home prices for the mainland Kitsap County (not including Bainbridge Island) remained flat during 2012 but more recently signs point to a sustained recovery in the region, says Jones. He notes that residential sales volumes for all of Kitsap County rose by 45 percent in January 2013 and median home prices were up 33 percent year-over-year, respectively.

The trending is certainly positive and we plan to play a leading role in further market expansion, said Irene Wurden, Principal of The Wurden Team at Realogics Sothebys International Realty. This business is all about experience, knowledge, and exposure. Our franchise network provides tremendous advantages for my team and our clients whether their transaction is located around the corner or around the world.

Wurden says her team will proudly serve clients of all property types and price points and specializes in waterfront properties along the Kitsap peninsula calling it a relative bargain compared with Bainbridge Island or metro Seattle real estate. She will bring to market several multi-million dollar waterfront estates this quarter noting home sales above $ 1 million on Kitsap County mainland grew to five transactions last year when only two such closings occurred in 2011.

A local resident since 1986,Wurden has been representing sellers and buyers in Kitsap, Pierce, Jefferson and Mason Counties for more than twenty years and credits her success, in part to being a global citizen that looks beyond borders. Born in Bulgaria she is fluent in Bulgarian, English, French, and knowledgeable in Russian. She has lived and traveled in more than 40 countries before settling down in Kitsap County to raise her family.

Its time for Kitsap County to be recognized both regionally and internationally for its natural splendor and a prized Northwest lifestyle that we enjoy here at home, adds Wurden. Im joined by an amazing team of professionals to build a world-class residential sales portfolio one client at a time. I feel fortunate to represent Realogics Sothebys International Realty we will work together to artfully unite extraordinary homes with extraordinary lives.

News Flash: Your Home’s First Showing is Online – Knoxville Real Estate Team, the Holloway Group, has Posted a New Article on their Website

Saturday, January 26th, 2013

Knoxville, TN (PRWEB) January 24, 2013

The Holloway Group, the leading Knoxville real estate team at Gables & Gates, REALTORS, has posted a new article to their website titled “News Flash: Your Home’s First Showing is Online.”

A recent cooperative study released by The National Association of Realtors and Google shows how people search for homes on the Internet. In The Digital House Hunt: Consumer and Market Trends in Real Estate, we are able to see the amazing impact and effect digital media is having on real estate. There is no doubting the huge impact that the Internet has become in everyday living, but the statistics brought to light by this study show with blazing clarity both the effectiveness and importance this tool has for searching Knoxville homes for sale. The following are some highlights of the study:

90% of home buyers searched online during their home-buying process.
52% of home buyers use the web as their first step in the process.
Real estate-related searches on Google.com grew 253% over the past four years.
36% of new home shoppers utilize a mobile device while they are watching television.

Troy Stavros, Broker and Partner with the Holloway Group at Gables & Gates, REALTORS stated, “As a seller, you have to realize that your first showing is no longer taking place in your home, it is happening on the internet. If your listing isn’t winning a potential buyer over online, they more than likely will never show up at your door.”

The benefits of the digital home search are widespread. Buyers have the opportunity to complete “first showings” of potential homes at their leisure from a computer or mobile device. Buyers can not only search Knoxville homes for sale, but research areas to live and find a REALTOR for representation. Because of these buyer benefits, home sellers benefit from having more educated buyers and more effective showings. Real estate agents benefit from getting buyers who have already done research and are able to make faster buying decisions.

While there is no doubt a wealth of information is out there in the digital space for home buyers and sellers, there is still an abundance of value to be garnered from a seasoned agent. REALTORS are still the best resource for local information, negotiations, and the pulse of the local market.
