Chiu-Ti Jansen, Publisher of YUE Magazine, hosted a cocktail reception on Monday, April 28, at the Baccarat Hotel & Residences New York Sales Gallery, featuring an exclusive presentation celebrating Baccarats 250th Anniversary and its branded residences complete with luxury hotel services.

With its roots in a French royal decree from King Louis XV in 1764, Baccarat has symbolized brilliance and refinement for the past 250 years. We are thrilled to commemorate this extraordinary legacy as Baccarat embarks on a new journey with the opening of its flagship luxury hotel and residences across from the MoMA, a symbol of art, design and modernity, said Chiu-Ti Jansen.

It was our great pleasure to welcome Ms. Jansen and Yue readers for an intimate preview of Baccarat Hotel & Residences New York. We were thrilled to offer a sneak peek of this highly anticipated development to such an esteemed group of guests, said Mark Gordon of Tribeca Associates, the developer of the project.

The event brought together YUE readers for an evening of champagne, passed hors d’oeuvres and a special preview of Baccarat Hotel & Residences New York. Ten lucky guests also took home Baccarat: Two Hundred and Fifty Years, a commemorative anniversary book published by Rizzoli.

Lim Gallery to Participate in SF Open Studios on November 2nd and 3rd in San Francisco

Thursday, October 31st, 2013

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 24, 2013

Lim Gallery will be participating in 2013 SF Open Studios on November 2nd and 3rd in the Potrero Hill-based gallery space. Open from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, Lim Gallery will join other galleries and artists’ studios in Potrero Hill, SOMA, Tenderloin, Dogpatch, Bayview, Portola, and Excelsior in opening their doors to the public.

“I’m so happy to be participating in one of the largest and oldest open studios programs in the country,” said Chris Lim, Gallery Director and owner. “This is our second year participating, and we couldn’t be more excited to be part of the bourgeoning art scene in the immediate area.”

SF Open Studios is an annual month-long art event in October that showcases over 900 emerging and established San Francisco artists in their studios. Each weekend, art patrons, admirers, and collectors venture out on self-guided tours to see as many SF Open Studios artists and their artworks as possible. Lim Gallery is located at the base of Potrero Hill in the San Francisco Design Center area in a storefront gallery space near Climb Real Estate Group, Whole Foods,

World Gym, and Project One.

One of the goals of Open Studios is to connect collectors with artists for engaging dialogue and a glimpse into the life of the working artist. Lim Gallery, in conjunction with SF Open Studios,

simultaneously helps artists build their mailing lists, gain new admirers, and ultimately sustain a living making art.

Founded in 2010, Lim Gallery is a lifestyle brand curating the best in art, interior design, coffee table books, and culture. With an outpost in the Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, Lim Gallery straddles the Design Center and tech start-ups of Silicon Valley, taking inspiration from both. The brand contains a website, online magazine, and retail outpost. Focusing on global affairs, technology, culture and design, the Lim Gallerys mission is to provide real human emotion in artwork in a world that has become increasingly digital. Lim Gallery Opens for San Francisco Open Studios

Tuesday, October 30th, 2012

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 29, 2012

The Lim Gallery will be part of San Francisco’s 2012 Open Studios this October, with a stunning contribution from the private collection of the local Bay Area artist, Jan Siegel.

Lim Gallery is proud to open for San Francisco Open Studios, the oldest and largest open studios program in the country. The program, which features an annual, month-long art event every October, will showcase over 900 emerging and established San Francisco artists in studios around the city. This month, the Lim Gallery will host the private collection of deceased artist Jan Siegel, which contains fine works of art and drawings spanning a career of over 40 years.

The collection, which will consist of multiple exhibits, features the poignant works with themes ranging from the beach, the homeless, and downtown business men. Chris Lim, founder of the gallery, is excited to bring this collection to the gallery: “I’m very pleased to open the 2012 San Francisco Open Studios with Jan Siegel’s private collection of portraits. This is Jan’s most personal work, including family members, friends, and loved ones. I’m excited to offer these stunning figurative oil and acrylic works of art that tell a personal narrative for the first time in over 20 years.”

As a passionate art enthusiast, Chris Lim, who began his career selling San Francisco real estate with Climb Real Estate Group, has pursued a goal of bringing the best in art, interior design, coffee table books, and culture to the public eye. After retiring from the sales of condominiums and lofts in the greater San Francisco area in March of 2010, Chris wanted to pursue other interests that he had not been previously been able to pursue. The gallery director who works part-time in marketing, now has the time to focus on his gallery space. He says, The gallery’s mission is to resuscitate the often

forgotten power of emotion through art in the modern era. In our busy lives, where work and social needs often take preference, there is less and less time and consideration spent on the visual arts.

The Lim Gallery, which is based in Potrero Hill, plans to showcase a new artist each month within the Subculture Contemporary movement, which draws influence from street culture, urban environments, independent music, architecture, graphic design, zines, illustration and pop culture. Focusing on the themes of global affairs, technology, culture and design, the gallery is looking to reinvigorate interest for the arts, not only as visual works, but as powerful political and social statements.

As one of the meccas for artists in the United States, the San Francisco Bay Area has a plethora of artist communities to feature, and the Lim Gallery is looking to create an ongoing relationship with patrons and art enthusiasts alike. In coming months, the gallery will exhibit a range of modern and contemporary paintings, coveted and rare art books, as well as photography, and printmaking. As a unique model, the gallery will challenge artists to utilize the entire gallery space for their exhibitions, in the hopes of providing a new and unexpected gallery experience every time to its visitors.
