Sol Vista Publishes Case Study on Impressive Energy Savings at Hotel Mondrian L.A.

Friday, May 15th, 2015

Silver Spring, Maryland (PRWEB) April 01, 2015

SOL VISTA, the hotel energy experts, just published a case study detailing the impressive energy cost savings resulting from their energy optimization recommendations implemented at the posh Hotel Mondrian L.A. By the conclusion of the comprehensive energy efficiency engagement, the luxury hotel realized utility cost savings of 21 percent, electricity usage reduction of 17 percent and water use reduction of 21 percent. These savings generated increased bottom line profit without inconvenience or impact to the hotels celebrity clientele.

The case study, available for free download here, details how the SOL VISTA team started with a complex, onsite hotel systems and equipment investigation and energy audit. Using those findings and metrics on the propertys historic energy, gas and water consumption and cost – analyzed by the Companys proprietary Skywalk technology platform – the team developed a list of energy conservation projects. Each one included cost and estimated return on investment.

While energy efficiency was a key objective, of equal importance was whether recommendations met the artistic vision of the hotel and the luxury experience expected by upscale guests, explains Zack Moore, SOL VISTA co-founder and project manager for the Mondrian multi-year effort.

With an extensive list of recommendations in hand, the SOL VISTA team implemented each project and served as onsite project managers — all while the Mondrian operated around the clock. From front of house to back of house projects, the SOL VISTA team and their vendors had to be invisible to the guests especially when upgrades took place in occupied guest rooms.

What makes us unique in the energy management market is our extensive experience in the hotel industry with its 24/7 operation, says Mr. Shannon Sentman, Co-founder and CEO. Our team and the vendors we select understand how to get large energy efficiency projects done without causing guest discomfort or complaints. The hotel management and staff appreciate our ability to manage these complex energy projects from start to finish so they can remain focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences, he adds.

SOL VISTA has reduced energy costs and usage for nearly 150 hotels since its inception. To view a list of these clients, click here. The Company plans to publish a series of hotel case studies throughout the year.

We have become the go-to hotel experts for optimizing energy and utility costs, easily enabling hotel owners to increase hotel profitability and value on an ongoing basis, Mr. Sentman explained.

Advance Realty Names Green Crown Energy As Its Energy Procurement Vendor to Help Control Gas and Electric Prices

Thursday, July 31st, 2014

Belleville, New Jersey (PRWEB) July 17, 2014

Advance Realty, a privately owned real estate development, investment and management company headquartered in Bridgewater, N.J., has named GreenCrown Energy a leading full-service energy consulting company specializing in energy supply, cost reduction and turnkey cogeneration systems development as their energy procurement vendor.

Founded in 1979, Advance Realty has acquired or developed more than 10 million square feet of commercial, residential, R&D, industrial and mixed-used projects along the Northeast Corridor. Were proud to have been selected as energy advisors for such a highly respected organization, which includes a whos who of and high profile tenants and clients, said Paul Errigo, Director of Business Development at GreenCrown Energy. Certainly, one part of their continued success regardless of the economy has been their ability to stay on top of all facets of the real estate industry, including the wildly unpredictable energy market.

Errigo pointed out that in todays volatile energy market, it’s vital that real estate businesses or any business for that matter take preemptive action by securing the services of an energy advisory firm with a proven track record for negotiating outstanding electric and gas procurement contracts. “In teaming up with Advance Realty, our No. 1 objective is to not only help them secure the best possible electricity and natural gas rates over the long term, but make sure that any electricity or gas contract we bring to the table is uniquely suited for the requirements of any specific project or investment, he added. As many businesses discover the hard way, just having a negotiated rate in place isnt enough if it falls short of meeting their day-to-day energy requirements.

According to Kurt Padavano, chief operating officer at Advance Realty, GreenCrown Energy has had a very positive impact on the companys portfolio of real estate assets.

GREENCROWN Energy has been a valuable asset to Advance Realty Group because they truly understand how commercial real estate buildings utilize energy, and what is important for us when it comes to contract terms and conditions, Padavano noted. Not only are they able to secure excellent energy rates for electricity and gas, but they have identified and negotiated some key terms and issues in the contracts with the supply companies that we may not have otherwise identified or deemed important. Green Crowns expertise has been invaluable, and we highly recommend them.

For Advance Realty an established leader in real estate investment, development, management and sustainable green practices turning to energy advisors with the contacts and relationships to help control electricity and gas prices makes perfect business sense. Advance Realty has built its business on having an intimate market knowledge and an extensive network of relationships with investment and real estate professionals and property owners while they actively give back to the community, explained Green Crowns Errigo. Weve done the same thing in the electricity and gas arena with our relationships and industry expertise, all of which enable us to strike seemingly unheard of gas and electricity procurement contracts for our clients.

From real estate properties to hospitals, luxury high-rise apartment complexes, fitness centers, hotels, grocery stores, manufacturing facilities, healthcare and nursing homes throughout the east coast and elsewhere — Green Crown Energy is helping businesses throughout the country to retain control of run-away energy costs once and for all.

Grid2 Expands Into Commercial Real Estate & Facilities Market with Its Flagship Energy Management System

Tuesday, April 15th, 2014

Seattle, Washington (PRWEB) April 08, 2014

Grid2 (http://energymanagementsoftware.com/) announces an expanded focus into commercial real estate energy management providers. The expanded focus is meant to be partly educational and partly promotional toward a group of people in desperate need of expanded energy management applications.

Recent data suggests that most real estate facilities management personnel often fail to fully utilize efficiency solutions in their energy management initiates across large organizations. As a result, many companies end up missing out on millions in lost costs on an annual basis. Because energy consumption represents the single greatest utility cost among organizations, it also means it is an area where extreme waste can easily be tracked and subsequently eliminated, says Stein Chu, Chief Sales Engineer. In nearly every organization weve consulted, there has been room for improvement in tracking usage and increasing efficiency.

With one of the most robust systems on the market, Grid2 allows energy managers and enterprise-level organizations to gain better access to energy data, better interpretation of energy data and ultimately better energy decision making. It represents an all-in-one energy tracking system for viewing, maintaining and improving–a process that is a large net gain for nearly every commercial organization with whom we work, says Chu.

The companys new focus on commercial real estate comes as the result of direct contact with many commercial real estate management and owners whore looking to increase efficiencies and eliminate waste within their organizations. Currently over 50% of all energy consumption comes from commercial and industrial organizations. Consequently, commercial real estate and facilities managers can see an almost immediate benefit by tracking and using the Grid2 solutions.

We also feel there is an education gap for some facilities managers, says Chu. They dont recognize the need for some of the advanced tools we can help provide nor do many facilities managers know of their existence. Were hoping our educational initiatives for energy managers will help to change that and push the needle forward in commercial energy management systems, he says.

About Grid2

Grid2 is a commercial energy management software consulting provider based in Seattle, Washington. The company provides expert solutions and assistance to commercial buildings looking to increase efficiencies and save money long term. The company is based in Seattle, Washington.
