The Indian Wells CA 13th Annual Hall of Fame Golf Tournament Expected To Substantially Boost Indian Wells Real Estate by Brad Schmett

Wednesday, January 30th, 2013

(PRWEB) January 29, 2013

Brad Schmett, Broker Associate with Luxury Homes by Keller Williams, today announced that the Indian Wells real estate market will enjoy a significant boost thanks to the upcoming Hall of Fame Golf Tournament scheduled for January 30, 2013 in Indian Wells. Benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of the desert, all proceeds will go directly to support this important local charity.

Held annually, this will be the first year the event has been hosted at the Indian Wells Country Club. The championship 36 hole course would seem to be the perfect venue for this prestigious event. Drawing in thousands of golfers and fans from across the nation this tournament is always one of the most popular and well attended of the Palm Springs social season. While here for the golf event, many participants will purchase real estate. Recently Brad Schmett talked about the event remarking that, Everyone knows that golfers are some of the most generous people on the planet. A substantial amount of charitable funds that are raised in this Valley are done so through golf tournaments. The real estate community recognizes and appreciates how important golf is to our business, particularly given the number of championship courses we have locally. This tournament will certainly bring in many new neighbors.

This year’s event will break with tradition in another very important way. Instead of honoring a sports figure this year it will honor Dr. Edwin Stempler. His dedication and hard work for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the desert is legendary. Better known as Dr. Ed or simply as Stemp, he was a founding board member and over more than a decade spent countless hours developing and working on the annual golf tournament. Dr. Stempler knew and believed that changing lives through one-on-one mentoring was a critical element in building strong communities.

As in past years a dinner and auction will accompany the golf tournament. Big Brothers Big Sisters is one of the deserts premier charities and is dedicated to the education and well-being of children all across the Coachella Valley. This is the perfect opportunity to have a great time and benefit our local children.

Palm Springs, California (PRWEB) December 21, 2012

Brad Schmett, Broker Associate with Luxury Homes by Keller Williams today announced that expectations in the Palm Springs real estate community are heightened thanks to the nomination of the venerable Palm Springs Kennel Club Dog Show as one of the top five shows nationwide. This will be the second win if they prevail, having also won in 2004.

With a history in Palm Springs, dating back to 1984, the kennel club is a well-established tradition that enjoys a pristine reputation for excellence. PSKC as has been listed among the five largest shows in the country by AKC for many years. Their current outdoor show site is located at the beautiful Empire Polo Club in Indio. All Breed Shows are scheduled for January 5 and 6, 2013, with Specialty Shows scheduled for January 3 and 4 at this venue. Excitement has begun to build among both local and out of town dog enthusiasts.

Schmett, himself a pet lover, commented that he always looks forward to the January shows. Naturally dog lovers are attracted to this nationally famous show, but I think attendees are always surprised when they see what a beautiful valley this desert really is. Many visitors comment on the multitude of beautifully manicured golf courses and of course the Empire Polo Club is also a pretty impressive venue. It doesn’t hurt that the weather in January is just about perfect.”

Schmett adds, “Early January is always one of my busiest times of year, and the Palm Springs Kennel Club Dog Show contributes to much of this activity as many dog show attendees will look for vacation homes and second homes while they are in the Palm Springs, CA area. Palm Springs area real estate always gets a nice boost in sales activity during our world-class dog show.

Obedience and Rally trials usually precede the show by a couple of days. There is also separate obedience training classes during the fall and winter at the Palm Springs Police Department given by the club. With over 2000 entries at most shows your favorite breed is sure to be in attendance. One of the happiest events of the year, don’t miss the Palm Springs Kennel Club Dog Show.
