Invest – To put (money) to use, by purchase or expenditure, in something offering potential profitable returns, as interest, income, or appreciation in value.
On Tuesday, July 31st, S&P Case Shiller reported a 0.9% increase to the seasonally adjusted 20-city composite for the month of May. In April, the report showed a boost of 0.7%. Many economists had conservatively projected a rise 0.2-0.4%. However, two consecutive months of largely unsuspected rise have proven otherwise. “Rise”, in both literal and figurative terms, strikes a positive chord. Like always, the pay-off to such a rise is made before, or on the way up. When 20 Major level cities report on consecutive and largely unpredicted climbs, should the investors pursue such a market? Or have they begun?
