Maya J. Paveza is a full-time, award winning REALTOR in Delaware with Coldwell Banker Preferred. She has gained national acclaim for continuously redefining the role social media plays in her business. She is a frequent speaker on how the Web and social media have created new opportunities to build brand awareness, generate leads and increase profitability. Not confined to the real estate industry, Paveza is often asked to share her views in such prominent social media forums as the Future of Marketing: 60 in 60 , where she presented with such innovators as Tony Hsieh (Founder of Zappos), Gary Vaynerchuk (Wine Library TV), Guy Kawasaki (co-founder Alltop), Jeffrey Hayzlett (former CMO Kodak), Bonin Bough (Director of Social Media for Pepsico) and others.

She is also invited to discuss her viewpoint at many other business and entrepreneurial events, including the Delaware Department of Economic Development Entrepreneurial Conferences, Xplode, various 140 Character Conferences (NY, DC and Detroit), Real Estate Technology South, Ignite Events, PodCamp Philly, ActiveRain RainCamp, as a speaker and educator for Coldwell Banker Generation Blue Conference, Baltimore Sales Blitz, and many others. Maya also coaches and trains agents in all aspects of the real estate business, not just social media. Currently Maya is working on a book and a few research papers on corporate engagement in social media.

Her understanding of how technology impacts business dates back to her years working as a senior web developer and designer at such prestigious firms as AIG, FirstUSA (now Chase), AstraZeneca, WingspanBank.com. Her team won the 1998 Smithsonian Award for Innovation for their work on the AIG Online Auto Insurance Quote site.

This background, along with her entrepreneurial spirit, have paved the way for her real estate success since she joined the industry in 2001.

Helping her real estate colleagues better understand and utilize the “New Web” remains her passion. With the generous assistance of Human Business Works she has launched The Hip Roof, a real estate social media educational community site designed to enhance agent productivity through social media. The site will offer an eBook, webinars, teleseminars and much more.

Paveza is a regular contributor at Tree.com where she writes for consumers, and RETechnology.com where she writes for their 600,000+ agent membership about social media and technology for real estate. Paveza lives in Wilmington, DE with her husband Gary and their children (Katarina 8 and Lindsay 4).
