Joseph Lam

Bio:

Best Selling Author

Mr. Lam is a licensed Real Estate Broker for some 25 years; with a background as a business analyst, computer database specialist, consultant, entrepreneur, loan officer, trainer and author. He co-wrote two books, Game Changers and Short Sale 911 Manual, both available in Amazon.com.

Mr. Lam ran and operated a mortgage company for over 15 years. He masters the art of ‘creative financing’ helping home buyers—from lease-option (rent-to-own), to low down-payment, to no-qualification, and loan assumption etc. Mr. Lam is also a specialist in ‘probate real estate sale’ as well as an expert helping home sellers to negotiate with lenders to sell property below outstanding loan amount (short sale.)

Education & Professional Designation

Mr. Lam holds a AA from Hartnell College, a BS in Business Administration from Oregon State University, and a MS in Computer System & MBA in Management Information Systems from Binghamton University (SUNY). Among the many designations he possesses are: the Certified Data Processing (CDP), the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), the Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE), the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), the Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), the Certified Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives Specialist (HAFA), the Certified Probate Real Estate Specialist (CPRES), and e-PRO®.

Experiences

In 1990, Joseph founded Adtech Realty & Financial Corporation and served as the president until 2003. Mr. Lam operated a National Real Estate Franchise from 2003 – 2006. Broker-Associate with Keller Williams Realty 2008-2011. Broker-Associate with Coldwell Banker Aug 2011 – March 2014. He is currently Broker-Associate with Alliance Bay Realty.

Community Services

Mr. Lam was a volunteer of “Project Banking” with the San Jose Unified School District on teaching fifth graders on “How to Balance Your Check Book.” He was a Facilitator of Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) and was a Faculty Member of Keller Williams University. Joseph is also a certified Facilitator of ‘Ninja Selling.’

Joseph was the President for the California Association of Mortgage Brokers—San Jose Chapter. He was a member of the Board of Directors for the Willow Glen Business and Professional Association. He was a member of the Education Committee for the Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS® (SCCAOR) for over seven years.

Leisure

Joseph enjoys reading, travel, cooking and good foods, horseback riding, swimming and a game of Chinese ‘mahjong.’ You may also find him frequently heading up a Meetup Group, or giving a seminar on business development and how to invest in real estate etc.
